Woman Grazed By Bullet During Attempted Car Jacking At Target

Spring, Texas:  On 02/04/2015 Deputies with Constable Ron Hickman’s office responded to the Target store located at 19511 North Freeway regarding a weapons disturbance. Investigation revealed an unknown thin black male suspect wearing a grey hooded sweat shirt approached a complainant who had just finished loaded her purchases into her vehicle.

The Suspect demanded the Complainant\’s car keys while brandishing a black semi auto handgun with a silver tip. The Suspect entered the vehicle and asked for the keys again, the Complainant threw her keys at the Suspect. The Complainant states the Suspect fired two rounds, one at the ground the other just over her right shoulder and fled west through the parking lot. The Complainant was not injured but was transported for precautionary reasons.

The Suspect then approached a second Complainant, an employee of Target who was entering her vehicle. The Suspect fired multiple rounds at the complainant, striking the Complainant in the head. The Suspect fled in the Complainant\’s vehicle. The Complainant retreated back to the front of the Target store. A witness who was a Specialist in the US Army observed the Suspect driving back towards the Complainant, the soldier exited his vehicle and fired at the fleeing vehicle.

The gunshot victim was transported to a local hospital for her injuries.

“ We were pleased to learn after medical evaluation  at the hospital, our gunshot victim injuries consisted of bullet fragments lodged above her right eye brow, and were non-life threatening “.

The suspect in this case is a black male, wearing a grey hooded sweat shirt. The vehicle stolen was a 2014 KIA Optima, Maroon in Color, License plate DPZ- 1485. The search continues for this suspect and vehicle.
