Harris County, Texas – August 22nd, 2017: Folks that live in South Texas, especially those that live in coastal communities should be watching this potential development very closely.

The remnants of Tropical Storm Harvey have a high chance of reforming over the next couple of days and have the potential of impacting the Texas coast. The models are becoming aggressive with development. According to the National Hurricane Center, this “system” has a 70% chance to develop into a Tropical depression by Wednesday or Thursday.

Spaghetti models are currently running towards the Texas coast with an estimated landfall of Friday or Saturday. The system appears to slow over land and then make a north-easterly turn.

At this time, heavy rainfall appears to be the largest threat.
