Tropical Storm Cindy Stationary; Spring Now Included In Tropical Storm Warning Area

Spring, Texas – June 20th, 2017: A Tropical Storm Warning has now been issued for Spring and Harris County. A Tropical Storm Warning means tropical storm wind conditions are expected somewhere within this area and within the next 36 hours.

Tropical Storm Cindy has been nearly stationary which is not good news. The greatest impacts will be felt to the east of the center Рwhich at the time of this posting is forecasted for Southeast Texas.

Primary threats with this system include isolated heavy rainfall and winds around 35-40 MPH. Rainfall totals are currently forecasted between 3-6 inches, with isolated areas with higher totals.

Timing: Late Wednesday night into Thursday.
