Spring, Texas – June 17, 2019: Three suspects were arrested Saturday at a Spring area motel for possession of methamphetamine.
The arrests took place at the Motel 6 located near Interstate 45 and Cypresswood Drive.
A female, identified as Katie Keller was spotted by deputies attempting to illegally enter a gated area of the hotel. Deputies stopped to question Keller. During the investigation, deputies located a syringe containing methamphetamine on her person. Keller told deputies that she was there to see a man who was staying at the motel.
Deputies were able to locate the alleged room and found two male suspects identified as Nolan Mcilvain and Steven Garrett, who were also found to be in possession of methamphetamine. It was later discovered that Mcilvain also had on open warrant for his arrest.
In 2018, this same Motel 6 had more than 300 incidences with law enforcement visiting the property, according to data provided by the Constable’s Office.
In 2017, The Harris County Attorney’s Office filed suit against the Motel for harboring habitual criminal activity.
All three suspects were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail on a $1,500.00 bond.
