The Woodlands, TX – May 1, 2019: The Woodlands Mall is working hard to keep the mall era alive during a time of online shopping. The mall is adding new and diverse dining options in response to customer’s desires according to on-site Senior General Manager Ted Harris and officials from the mall’s parent company in Chicago.
Harris recently revealed that a new Torchy’s Tacos restaurant location would be opening up alongside South African restaurant Peli Peli. Torchy’s Tacos will be taking over the space of the vacant Bonefish Grill location.
Torchy’s is just one of many new eateries that will be filling up the mall. A new restaurant called Tikka’s that serves up Indian-style cuisine will be replacing the Noodles location next to Torchy’s.
A combination of analyzing consumer data and customer input are all employed when deciding on which new businesses and dining options to add to the mall, according to Harris.
“We didn’t want to just stick something in there. We’re working behind the scenes negotiating with both these concepts (Torchy’s and Peli Peli) to bring something different and fun to the mall. I think they should do well. The Woodlands has a very diverse palate.”
