Teens Arrested After Stolen Guns and Drugs Found in Vehicle

Houston, Texas – January 8, 2019: On Monday afternoon, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 17200 block of Tomball Parkway. As deputies approached the vehicle, one of the occupants exited the vehicle and fled on foot leading deputies on a brief chase.

A police perimeter was set and the suspect, identified as Nicolas Ruelas was detained. During the investigation, deputies learned that Ruelas had two open felony warrants for aggravated robbery and family assault.

During a search of the vehicle, deputies located seven ounces of marijuana, 132 ecstasy pills and four stolen handguns that were linked to recent burglaries in the area.

The other three occupants were identified as Trenton Steele, Jordan Gonzalez and a juvenile male.

The juvenile was released to juvenile authorities.

Ruelas, Steele and Gonzalez were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail.
