STACK INTERMEDIATE, BENFER ELEMENTARY, PONDEROSA FOREST ELEMENTARY ON LOCKDOWN

Harris County TX:  Law Enforcement agencies have a perimeter set up around the Ponderosa Forest Subdivision.  The suspect led DPS troopers on a chase and then crashed into a home in the 1600 block of Elk River Dr.  Radio reports state deputies believe the man may be hiding in the Cypress Creek area.

The chase began when a DPS troop watched the suspect vehicle (newer model Range Rover) roll a stop sign.  The trooper made an attempt to stop the vehicle, that is when the chase started.  The chase continued into the Food Town Parking Lot near Rolling Creek and West FM 1960.  The chase ended at the intersection of Rolling Creek and Elk River.   Authorities tell us that the suspect lost control and crashed into the backyard of the home.  DPS Troopers, Harris County Sheriffs Department and Precinct 4 Constables are assisting in this incident.

The suspect is reported to be injured with trauma to his forehead.  Bystanders say the suspect was covered in blood after trying to run from crashed car.
