Students Evacuating Lone Star College Campus After Reported Chemical Spill

Spring, Texas – May 8, 2019: Students in two buildings at the Lone Star College-University Park Campus have been ordered to evacuate after a reported chemical spill.

The University Park Campus is located near 249 and Louetta Road, just south of Tomball.

According to the Lone Star College Police Chief, there was an acid spill on the 6th floor of UP buildings 12/13. The ventilation system has been shut down and buildings 12/13 have been ordered to evacuate.

The Chief says if you are in buildings 9, 10, 11, CSI or EMI, to not evacuate.

No injuries have been reported.

The fire department is on the scene assisting campus officials.
