Spring, Texas – November 14th, 2017: Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, a popular fast-food joint known for their fried chicken fingers celebrated their grand opening on Tuesday. This is their second franchise location in Spring.

The new Raising Cane’s is located at 21017 Kuykendahl Road just south of FM 2920 in the old KFC/Long John Silvers building. They are open Sunday – Thursday from 10:00am-11:00pm and Friday – Saturday from 10:00am-12:00am.

Regency Centers to Celebrate The Market at Springwoods Village Grand Opening

Spring, Texas – November 2nd, 2017: Regency Centers, a national owner, operator, and developer of grocery-anchored shopping centers will celebrate the grand opening of The Market at Springwoods Village with a series of food-themed, free community events this November.

Developed as a joint venture with CDC Houston, the 170,000-square-foot retail center located at the intersection of Spring Steubner and Holzwarth Road is the first grocery-anchored development in Springwoods Village. The center features an exciting retail lineup, including Banfield Pet Hospital, Chick-fil-A, Cold Stone Creamery, Kroger, Lovett Dental, MOD Pizza, Nails of America, Natural Paws, Supercuts, Tarka’s Indian Kitchen, Torchy’s Tacos and Zoë’s Kitchen. Upon completion, the center will seek USGBC LEED Silver certification.

“We’re beyond excited to bring best-in-class shops and restaurants to our Houston neighbors in North Harris County, Spring, The Woodlands and Southern Montgomery County,” said Abe Pacetti, Regency Centers Vice President of Investments. “It was important that we curate this center to reflect the lifestyle needs of its surrounding communities,” added Pacetti.

The grand opening celebrations will kick off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, November 3 at 11:30 a.m., with Regency Centers contributing to the Hurricane Harvey relief through the Houston Food Bank.

Following the ribbon-cutting, Regency will host its first Foodie Friday on November 3 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Guests will enjoy food samples, giveaways and a chance to meet former pro quarterback, Warren Moon.

On Saturday, November 4 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Regency will celebrate a Food Around the World community event with a guest appearance by Kevin Quinn, “Xander” on Disney’s Bunk’d. Activities will include free food samples, live music, hourly airline ticket giveaways, face painting and lots of family-friendly fun.

Foodie Fridays will continue on November 10 and 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and include prize drawings and a chance to win United Airlines flight vouchers.

“The Market at Springwoods Village has added a variety of shopping and dining amenities to Springwoods Village, making it an important step toward building a ‘Complete Community,’” said Keith Simon, Executive Vice President and Director of Development for CDC Houston. “The carefully selected mix of retail, dining, and grocery services will meet the needs of many residents, employees, visitors and businesses in Springwoods Village and in the surrounding area.”

Spring, Texas – October 12th, 2017: Waffle Daddy, known for their delicious belgian waffle creations announced the closing of their business. Waffle Daddy located at 1810 Rayford Road in Spring officially closed their storefront on October 6th, 2017.

“We want to thank our customers and community for allowing us to serve you over this past year. It is with much thought and heavy hearts that we are closing our Rayford Road location. Although we are sad to say goodbye to our storefront. We’re also excited about the Future and the new opportunities awaiting for us at Waffle Daddy. Waffle Daddy explained that the construction along Rayford Road was one of the many contributing factors in the decision to close their doors. Waffle Daddy plans to set up a local farmers markets so they can continue to serve up their warm, fresh and fluffy waffles.
