Spring High School Janitor Charged In Fatal Hit & Run Killing Local U.S. Army Member

Spring, Texas – September 30th, 2016: A Spring High School Janitor has been arrested and charged in connection to a fatal hit and run accident last December.

Spring Happenings was first to report on the fatal accident that killed 22-year-old Gregory Davies, a Spring resident and member of the United States Army.

Davies was walking down Aldine Westfield during the early morning hours of December 11th, 2015 when he was fatally struck by a vehicle that failed to stop at the scene. Witnesses described the vehicle as an older model blue Audi with front end damage.

According to KTRK, Davies mother, Regina, spent 15-18 hours every day, driving streets and parking lots looking for vehicles that matched the description. Back in April, Regina located a vehicle that matched the description in the parking lot of Spring High School. She reported her findings to police.

On Thursday, Jack Massey (54) was arrested by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office at the high school.

Charging documents show that Massey has been charged with failure to stop and render aid, a felony charge. Massey is currently being held in the Harris County Jail on a $30,000 bond.

Court documents show that Massey claimed he ran over a piece of concrete back in December of 2015.
