SPRING, TX –   The Spring Fire Department is on the scene of a large un-contained fuel spill, approximately  75 gallons of fuel have been spread over the Southbound lanes of Interstate 45 near the Hardy Toll Road.  The Harris County Hazardous Material team and South Montgomery County Fire Department have been called to assist with the incident.  The sheriffs department is telling us that there is still an active leak at this time.

8:35pm UPDATE – (From the Spring Fire Department)  – Flatbed 18-Wheeler’s fuel line busted.  The leak is contained.  There is an estimated 50-75 gallons of fuel on the ground.  One outside lane of I-45 southbound is shut down as well as the on ramp to the Hardy Toll Road.  This closure should be expected for most of tonight.
