Known Sex Offender Charged With Two Counts Of Sexual Performance By A Child

Spring, Texas – December 27th, 2016: Harris County Constable Mark Herman’s office was dispatched to a residence where information was received in reference to a known suspect, Paul Aaron Bagwell that had allegedly taken sexually explicit photographs of two underage juvenile females that lived near the suspect.

Constable Herman’s High Tech Crimes Unit got involved and took over the investigation from patrol deputies.  In the course of the investigation, it was found Bagwell has been previously charged with Indecency with a Child and with Sexual Contact of a Child and was currently a registered Sex Offender in the State of Texas. An arrest warrant was obtained for Bagwell for Sexual Performance of a Child (2nd Degree Felony) and a search warrant was obtained for Bagwell’s residence, which deputies found to be a half-way house for himself and other registered sex offenders.

During the execution of a search warrant, evidence was recovered which contained the photographs taken of the two juveniles girls. The Defendant, Paul Bagwell was charged with 2 counts of Sexual Performance by a Child and is being held on a $200,000 bond.
