This is a reminder that Constable Deputies will be out next week in phase 2 of their Safety Initiative! The areas of patrols will be Humble/ Atascocita, Spring, Cypress, Tomball.
“ There will be a significant increase in Constable deputies on our streets searching for impaired drivers, on New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day “.
“People that choose to drink and drive, should consider the consequences, before doing so. Arrest, Jail, Courts, Reputation, it is NOT worth it! “ Assistant Chief Mark Herman
The second phase of our initiative is to focus on the overall safety of our communities, by focusing on all impaired drivers. The department currently works with the Texas Department of Transportation through grant funding, which will allow more deputy Constables to be on the streets patrolling for impaired drivers. In addition to our grant funded deputies, we will have additional deputies patrolling our roadways seeking out impaired drivers in an effort to keep our citizens and roadways safe. The department will be increasing the DWI enforcement patrols throughout the New Year’s holiday, January 2015. MADD (Mothers against Drunk Drivers) will also be riding along with deputy Constables.
You can help us keep yourself and other citizens on the roadways safe by following these simple safety tips:
DO NOT DRINK ALCOHOL AND DRIVE!
- If you do drink, have plans to “designate a sober driver “.
- Call a cab for transportation needs.
- Do Not get in a vehicle with an impaired driver.
