Spring, Texas – December 31st, 2017: The National Weather Service has issued a HARD FREEZE WARNING for Montgomery County. Harris County will still see below freezing temperatures, however, Harris County was not included in this warning at the time this story was published.
Much colder temperatures will move into Southeast Texas in the wake of a strong cold front. A HARD FREEZE WARNING remains in effect from 2:00 AM to 10:00 AM CST on Monday. Temperatures are forecast to fall below 25 degrees in the warning area for at least 4-6 hours.
A hard freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
