Fourth of July Guide: Where To Watch The Best Fireworks Display



The Fourth of July is a great opportunity to celebrate our country’s independence with all of our friends and family. The best part is the awesome nighttime fireworks displays and Houston has got some of the greatest spots to catch the show.

Here’s our guide to the best fireworks shows in Houston that will make your night memorable.

1.) Fireworks Show at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Splashtown is celebrating big for the 4th of July. Head over for some music, games with prizes to win, and a spectacular firework show. The Wave Pool and FlowRider will both be open during after hour festivities. The park opens at 10:30 am. Fireworks start at dusk on both July 4 and 5.

2.) Tomball’s July 4th Celebration and Street Festival

Texas Country Music Hall of Fame group, The Posse, is scheduled to perform with a special patriotic tribute for veterans. Gates open at 5 pm. There will be food vendors and a kids’ zone. Aerial fireworks displays start at dusk. Admission and parking are free.

3.) Red, Hot & Blue Festival and Fireworks Extravaganza

The 22nd annual Red, Hot & Blue Festival is taking over The Woodlands. The event is from 6 pm – 10 pm with live music, food, and children’s activities. The 18-minute fireworks display starts at approximately 9:30 pm. The primary display will be located in Lake Woodlands adjacent to Northshore Park, with a secondary close-proximity (special effects) display at Town Green Park.

4.) Fourth of July at The Boardwalk at Towne LakeEnjoy a spectacular fireworks celebration with great restaurants and live music. The fireworks display starts at 9 pm sharp. Parking is first come first serve. No outside food or drinks allowed as a courtesy to the restaurants.

5.) Freedom Over Texas on the Buffalo Bayou Freedom Over Texas is Houston’s annual 4th of July event. The event draws in crowds as big as 40,000 people at Eleanor Tinsley Park for live music, guest speakers, and a phenomenal fireworks display. This year’s event marks the anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing. Multi chart-topping singer/songwriter Jake Owen will be headlining the event along with special guest country music star Kellie Pickler.General Admission is $5.00 Online until June 1 and $8.00 online June 1 – July 3.
Online tickets & at the gate day of the event is $10.00. Children 5 & under FREE w/ paid adult.
