Spring, Texas – May 3, 2019: An aerial flood advisory has been issued until 3:30 PM for Harris and Montgomery County.
According to the National Weather Service, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Generally, 1-4 inches of rain has fallen in the last couple of hours with rainfall already fallen overnight. Rain rates of 1 inch an hour or more will be possible and could cause street flooding and rapid rises of water in low lying areas.
Potential impacted locations… Tomball, Hempstead, Prarie View, Bellville, Pinehurst, The Woodlands, Spring, Oak Ridge North, Waller, Shenandoah, Magnolia, Hooks Airport, The Woodlands Pavillion, and Conroe.
