Bond Set for Former Klein Collins Alumni who Killed Family of Three


Spring, Texas – May 24, 2016: This past weekend, a drunk driver hit and killed a family of three, and his bond is set at $300,000.

The drunk driver was Klein Collins alumni 25-year-old Jeremy Valdez, who hit and killed 18-year-old, Klein Oak Senior, Mauricio Ramirez, along with his parents, Hilda Nolasco and Emilio Avila. The family was driving home from church, according to the families friends, when they were hit on FM 2920 and Kuykendahl Saturday morning.

Valdez had a court hearing on Monday morning, and was charged with three counts of murder. His bond is set at $300,000; $100,000 per victim.

According to his criminal records, this is Valdez’s fourth DWI. According to witnesses, Valdez attempted to flee the scene of the crash.

In an jailhouse interview, Valdez denied drinking and driving, and said that he just thought the light turned green. Valdez’s family apologized in court for his actions.

Charged with felony murder from the fatal crash, Valdez could be facing life in jail.
