Spring, Texas – May 15, 2019: The Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office (HCFMO) has arrested Alan Christopher Kerber at his residence located in the 8000 block of Augusta Pines Drive at the Haven of Augusta Woods apartment complex. Kerber was arrested on an open felony warrant for arson after a nine-month investigation in which he allegedly started several fires in and around his apartment complex.

“After a long investigation, HCFMO investigators were able to take Kerber off the streets before he started a fire that hurt someone,” said Harris County Fire Marshal Laurie L. Christensen. “I’m proud of the work of our investigators and appreciate the assistance of the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (ATF). We would not have been able to make this arrest without the assistance of our partners.”

ATF assisted the HCFMO by setting up a complex system of surveillance to track the suspect. Harris County Constable’s Office Precinct 4 assisted HCFMO with serving the warrant.
