Spring, TX – Get your beads ready, and don’t forget to wear green this Sunday!
On March 15, 2015 the annual 1960 St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held on 1960 at 2 p.m. Prior to the parade, 1960 will shut down at 1 p.m. The parade travels East starting at Champion Forest Dr and ending at Kuykendahl. According to the official 1960 St. Patrick’s Day website, www.1960parade.com, it is estimated that 1960 will open back up around 5 p.m.
The parade committee warns parade-watchers to arrive early in order to find a good spot to sit.
“ATTENDEES: Revelers should make their way to the 3 .5-mile parade route as early as possible – about 60,000 to 80,000 are expected.” 1960 St. Patrick’s Day Parade Comm.
If the crowds are not enough to convince you to arrive early, the 1960 St. Patricks Day committee is adding a new aspect to the parade this year. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Home Depot parking lot, a vendor area is being added where attendees can eat and shop before, during, and after the parade.
“The parade benefits Cypress Creek EMS Education Scholarship programs. Thanks to the community, the parade committee has raised over $100,000 over the last 5 years!” 1960 St. Patrick’s Day Parade Comm.
Come out this weekend to support the Spring Community’s 37th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
